Boker Made in Japan
Is it true that some Boker Straight Razors were made in Japan? I did some searching on the internet and found that some Boker Knives are made in Japan, but I am not sure about straight Razors?
Anybody have any info on this?

In this age of ours it seems everything is manufactured in differing locations so you can never be sure if the brand is indicative of where its made like the auto industry. I don't know about razors but I would guess since most of these defunct companies and the current ones who haven't made straights in at least 30 years or so made them before globalization was the keyword they were probably made where the company was headquartered.

I do know that many of the current big name knife making firms often have lines made in China, etc.... Usually an upper level grade still in Soligen and lesser, "consumer" models made where labor is cheaper. I think you will find Hen & Rooster is like this and maybe many others.

Thanked: 3226Well, if the Boker razor is stamped "Made in Japan" that should be the country of origin or at least final assembly.
