So my wife asked what I was doing -
I was shaving with the Henckels Friodur 5/8 #451 that I purchased from DaveW on here , and I didn't really notice anything until the wife said something , but it kind of made a musical out of my shaving. It didn't have the same sound as any of my other blades at all. She likened them to a scraping sound. The Friodur was making tings and dings with each different sized hair.
It may not have been the most beautiful blade due to the improper attempt at honing previously , but it makes up for it in shave and audible quality.
DaveW , thanks for the special razor !!

Yes - those singing razors are superb...my favorites, and then of course I also love the bass of the wedges...the low rumbling through the whiskers that sounds like tanks rolling over your beard.

Ah, the cacaphony of hirsute cutting is clamorous to my soul. A wish for a razor that sings many ranges instead of only an aria solo.

The closer the spine is to your face the quieter the razor , any razor. Also the longer the edge will last.
