Thanked: 0The Jaguar logo changed several times in the past. This explains why the jaguar on this razor differs from the logo of today.
Jaguar assured me that it is a genuine jaguar product.

Thanked: 4249From the Jaguar website:
In 1932, Kurt Schmidt founded a steel articles factory in Solingen, a city which is famous for the manufacturing of cutlery. Jaguar was first introduced as a brand name for hairdressing scissors in the late sixties, and a short time later it also became the company name. This name reflected specialization in producing hairdressing scissors and marked the starting point for Jaguar to become one of the leading manufacturers in the world. The Solingen-based company Zwilling J.A. Henckels, recognized worldwide, has been a strong partner since 1988.
