    This was my first, still one of my favourites.... Easy to shave with, easy to get an edge on, and holds its edge longer than most

    I think the new TI's are superb...the three I have are stellar shavers, great in the looks department if you're into gold wash and elegant points and spines...actually had a shave ready factory edge from one of them...the TI's are top blades IMO.

    My TI Spartacus from a recent SOTD:

    TI was my first as well, I just didn't like the wooden scales so I let it go, now I want another TI but this time with horn scales and filed spine... In 7/8

    Sergeant,
    Both of those Thiers-Issard razors are quite striking. I have owned both in the past and found them to be superb shavers.

    This one is a 6/8, but it was literally shave ready when I got it, was honed after a shave or two, again, a marvelous razor in every way...beautiful to look at, and shaves like a dream. Notice the, "Sheffield Steel" on the gold wash on a French razor. Was told that TI made this blade from 100 year old blanks...but I take that with a grain of salt.

    Horn scales and lots of fancy stuff

    TI has been one of my favorite brands and I've had quite a few. I shaved with one this very morning. Here are two bone scaled Spartacus Dreadnoughts, top one in silver steel, and the other in the C-135, or whatever the new stuff is, and a Pierre Thiers Limited Edition, finally a 6/8 TI damascus which AFAIK, they don't make anymore ..... ;

    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
