Default Does anyone else use baby oil on razors?

There was a bottle of baby oil that I noticed after shaving one time. From then on, after shaving, I just apply a light coat on the razor until the next use. Has anyone noticed any ill effects from using baby oil after an extended period of time?

Can't say I have - I know nothing about oils and the like. Not my thing. But I'll be interested to hear what those who do know say. Because if it does work as well as other oils, I am sure it'll smell a whole lot better than the Remington gun oil I slap on mine lol.

I don't use any type of oil on my 14 or so regular users.

Light coat of Rem-Oil on those that I don't use.

i have used baby oil in the beginning for my rotation razors but have stopped since i started using the silicone sleeves. I still use them for razors that i keep in storage while i buy more sleeves. baby oil is just mineral oil. i have not had any issues with it so far.

I used to use my gun oils but that's spendy so now I use baby oil. Works fine as far as I can tell.

I use baby oil and it works just fine. It is a pain at times to always apply or take off the oil, but well worth protecting your carbon steel razors!

Thanks for all the input. I did not know it was mineral oil. Thanks again.
