Thanked: 2Need help identifying these scales
Hello everyone, new guy here. Anyways, I found a great Dubl Duck for sale, but I have a feeling the scales are not original. It's a Dubl Duck Satinedge, and says pearl duck on the other side. I cannot find anything in the forums or online about scales that say "Valor" on one side. Do you guys think this person is trying to pass these off as original Dubl Duck scales and not mention it? Does anyone know what these are? Thank you

If they are dubl duck scales they are the very first I've seen like them. I'd have to guess it is a rescale but I'm not familiar with the Valor marque. Maybe manah would know. He deals in razors from that era quite a bit. The pointed ends resemble Theirs-Issard scales, but not sure about the emblem. BTW, many sellers on ebay haven't the foggiest notion about what they are selling. So it may not be an unscrupulous seller, just a clueless one ....... to give them the benefit of the doubt.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I have a feeling I've seen a Pakistan razor with Valor scales.

Thanked: 4827They are not the classic duck scales. They are three pin scales, which are often good quality scales. However they don't effect the shave if they are well fitted. If you like the blade and the price is right grab it.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

With the points they almost look like TI scales...almost.
