Thanked: 101First post! Found a razor I have never heard of
Hello all, Dave Huffman here from St. Joseph Illinois. I have been into knives for several years & am getting ready to open a sharpening & repair shop.
I picked up a older razor with horn scales. Pretty rusty but I have taken care of most of that.
From what I can read the engraving says R & N Gall Co. Anyone heard of this company? I looked in the 1000 Razors book with no luck & several other places.
This blade is VERY sharp after a touch up on the hone & strop. I know I need to get pictures on here but my wife is teaching me.
Any info. would be a big help!

Welcome to SRP Dave, I've not heard of that one either. Someone may be along who has. Straight Razor Place Library:Books/Beginners Guide - Straight Razor Place Library

Welcome to SRP, Dave! Can't help with your ID problem, but hopefully someone will come along who can. Good luck with your shop!

Welcome to SRP!
I've never heard of R&N Gall before. Rust hasn't by some chance made the word Bengall look that way has it?Some people never go crazy. What truly horrible lives they must lead - Charles Bukowski
