Thread: Am I a moron?

I would never buy a set. I would rather spend that kind of money on a variety of razors that had different scales and sizes or I would maybe buy a couple of custom class razors. To me sets are boring.

A nice 9/8 Charlie Lewis fixed blade would be #1 for me.

Have to agree...with a set there is an implied commitment to exclusively using that set of razors, whereas going slow, and having your collection build with your tastes allows you to have a wide variety of blades and styles - a set limits you, and it's pretty difficult to justify buying any new razors after that, even to yourself.
