Rotating razors does not affect technique?
Well im using feather ac dx straight daily with pro blade. im happy with the results.
But also i have a feather as-d2 double edge which left on the cabinet... Waiting for my son but he is so little...
in this case as i shave daily i can rotate this 2 razor daily but that doesnt affect technique? Also skin hasnt difficulties to adopt different machines?
Regards

Hi EmreMusovi ,
I'm not sure if I understand your post/question, if I misunderstand you, I apologise...
I mainly use a straight as I am trying to learn / improve my technique, but I do use a double edge (Edwin Jagger DE89) sometimes as well... occasionally if I am in a hurry and more so when I was learning the straight and couldnt do my chin/jawline and under my nose very well... I used the DE to touch-up my straight attempt.
I didn't find that using both affected my skin in any way. In fact, I found that it was better for my skin to use a DE than the straight with poor technique.
If I have misunderstood your question, please say so and I am happy to share my experiences if I have anything to offer. Many other members here have far more experience than me though. It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice

Well my question is rotating razors each day doesnt effect the technique since one day i use straight other a de which asks for different technique.

I don't think it affects technique, however the more you practice something the better you will get. ie. DE 100 times then straight x 1 time, you won't improve with your straight very fast.
Just take the time, which ever method you use, to focus on the basics... skin stretching, blade angle, pressure, hair growth direction etc.
Plus the preparation is similar for both... good lather, soften the hair with water and post shave treatment. It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice

I think it may be like learning to ski vs learning to snowboard...
Both are on the snow so there are common characteristics, but if you try to learn both, it will take a bit longer to master, but there's nothing wrong with that. It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice

"Rotation" doesn't effect me because I "rotate" among two identical 5/8 full hollow C.V. Heljestrand MK31's so my perfomance stays pretty much spot on daily. This Minimalist approach isn't for very many people who enjoy such a variety and diversity but for me it has led to amazing daily sink time.

Thanked: 433I've shaved with a straight razor for about 8 years, now I can switch to anything and it will be good. I did shave almost exclusively with a straight for the 1st year and I think that developed all the muscle memory I needed to get a great straight shave.
