HUGE shout-out to @cudarunner and @razorfeld.
I really can't believe there are people this cool still on earth. Just when you get cynical, you meet some awesome people. Cuda is a vet, and helped me locate an Army razor (pics below) - not 100% sure of origin, but I served in Afghanistan with Brits, so will proudly shave with it regardless. And @razorfeld has been invaluable with helping me to understand what type/size of razor fits me. Just wanted to say thanks to two amazing people.

Great looking razors. The best ones have meaning and a story to go with them.
What a curse be a dull razor; what a prideful comfort a sharp one

He's a real fine gentleman , and you won't get anyone better to be in your corner, but now I,m jealous he never found me an Army razor!! Maybe he figures us old army dogs from 1970 shouldn't have anything sharp. Good job Roy. Tc

Actually I just found a link suggesting the Army blade is US made. I saw "Torrey" and thought brit:

Ian, we're just doing what we do because:
- even though never truly formed, the brotherhood of wet shavers compels us to do right by our fellow wet shaver
- providing help, is more rewarding than receiving it
- when someone receives a shout-out, we all get t-shirts
- that blade is known to be cursed, and we needed to pawn it off on a new guy
All joking aside, I really do believe points one and two are bang on. Hope you enjoy your blade - thanks for sharing.David
