I only purchase new razors from vendors who guarantee a "shave ready edge". SRD is a great place to purchase a new S.R. Their customer service is second to none.

well, it was a swinging deal on the blade $100 for a new one in the box. but if you have to go through a ton of hoopla to get one in shave ready cond. well then it ain't such a good deal. that my lads comes from spending your young life being raised by broke depression farmers and then becoming a broke farmer yourself sometimes you just have to learn a few lessons of tripping over dollars to save a dime for it to sink in !. i will tell you, that after this exp. i bought a once used Dovo Masters razor that is shave ready and was sent out to be honed correctly for $150 delivered. so if and when the Boker gets back i have 2. nice 6/8 Dovo's and a few other Solingen razors i bought cheap and restored so i am not really hurting for anything here. i will deal with the Boker when that bridge comes up. another lesson learned. thx, Mark.

Never tried a Boker, but I've heard great things. Good luck with this!
