Default Puma Love. (Soon to find its way back to my den)

6 years ago I traded a near mint Puma Special #89 to member RayG and regretted it almost immediately. At 13/16 and fantastically hollow, the Made with Best Puma Steel tool was the second straight razor I ever purchased, found in the wild. Have thought about reacquiring one from time to time over the years and today I snagged one that I hope will quench that thirst for the one that got away. Pictured is my original Puma along with a Somerset Duke 3 that was also sold over 6 years ago but ALSO found its way home recently. Looking forward to having this Black Cat back in the den soon!

I don't blame you. I have a 1938 - 6/8 Puma and it's a pleasure to shave with. Extremely forgiving and super smooth. Still need to make time to replace the rubber that's eventually crumbled into pieces but it shaves great without.

I have the same Puma 89 and it is my favourite razor in my collection. The grind and shave is just superb. Fantastically hollow indeed, a true singing blade.

They are very nice, indeed. I also sold mine some years ago but since I don't prefer round points I am currently quite happy with the funky pointed 1938 that basically replaced it.

    Gentlemen,

I sold my 13/16 Puma round point several years ago and still dream about the razor. Why did I sell it? "We are all born mad," said playwright Samuel Becket. "Some remain so."

Oh boy, I'm with ya. Sold my only Puma and still regret it.
