King of Swords Razor
I have a friend who lives in Germany, he deals in Straight razors. He informed me today that King of Swords Solingen is producing a new razor. The first ones to be produced in 130 years. Are these good Straights? I would imagine so. I have not heard of them. Any one got the low down? Here are some pics.

Thanked: 79Those are ERN Crown & Sword razors.
Are you saying ERN is going to be making razors again?
I haven't heard of a "King of Swords" however.
If those razors are being made again it would be interesting if ERN was back at it, but more likely my money would be on re-branded Dovo's.

Thanked: 346The vintage ERNs are very good razors. Unfortunately that tells us very little about the quality of any new ones. At the moment it appears that just about all solingen razors, despite the brand on the shank, are being made by Dovo. I've got current-production razors from Henckels and C-Mon and both appear to be from Dovo's shops.

That's what he told me, That they had not produced a razor since 1938, and that the were now producing these. I emailed him back and asked him the US price. I'll let you know what he tells me.
