Have not tried it yet but let you know. I see some cuts and nicks coming my way.

Welcome to SRP. That's a beautiful razor. Do you know if it's shave ready?

Got it from Fendrihan and it says pre-sharpened by Thiers Issard but not sure that means shave ready.
I have a place I town that does straight shaves and also gives a lesson. Going to pay for a lesson and make sure I get off to a good start.

She may not be "shave ready" but hopefully where you go to for your lesson can help with that.

That being said, that's a honey of a razor! Nice choice!

Not sure as a friend just told me about the this place in town(international blade and shears). I was just looking at their list of services and it said straight razor and safety razor classes. Really need to call and get more details. Definitely let everyone know how it goes. Very excited to get started.

Let us know how the lesson goes! We need all the details. I find it interesting and very cool that some barbers are doing this...
