    Default Warping Acyrlic/Plastic Scales??

Question-will storing a razor in such a fashion where constant (albeit light) pressure is applied to acrylic (or any material for that matter) cause the scale to warp?
I keep my razors in one of these.

It's a pencil case and works wonderfully. Keeps the razors out of harms way and is quite compact. The elastic prevents the blades inside from flopping around. There is mimimal pressure being exerted here but I have noticed one of my razors seems to have developed an "off center" position when closed that I don't remember being there. This is the only thing I thought may have caused the situation. Any ideas??

Yes dependant on the heat also

The good news is the most of the Acrylics will bounce back to form if they are left in a cool place and opened to the reverse so the the back of the tang is applying slight pressure to spread the scales..

A trip to Colorado for the Denver meet in July with 14 razors in a Roll taught me all this it ended well with all the scales bouncing back, but I thought I was going to be replacing about 8 sets of scales when I first unrolled them..

I have no info for the Plastic scales

Good news is a little time with the hair dryer and shimming things up with a couple toothpicks got everything back in shape..Yay!!!

Heat is the big issue. We often do not think about how hot it can get in a car or garage.

It can easily exceed a hundred degrees for several hours.
