No kidding. I just dusted off and used my Dovo prima klang tonight and geez, what a noisy piece of equipment. Beautiful and delicate, but noisy. While I shave it sounds like a 1978 Ford LTD idling down a gravel road.

That and I have to strop it every couple strokes. Doggone cast iron Greek beard. I can see how people might prefer it if they didn't have little black tree stumps growing out of their face.

So far the single hollow ground stainless blade is still my favorite.

Flexi razors, aka: full singing flexible blades, havent been my favorite.
Various rumor has it that they were made to flex to the contours of the shavers face, a dubious claim that hasnt panned out for me. I like the predictable bite of a stiffer blade that is easier to guage and control during the shave. Overly flexible blades (such as some Revisors) tend to flex and catch on some areas where as the tendency of a stiffer grind is to mow through - my preference.
