Default The smallest ERN I'we ever seen.

Well today I was waiting for a friend and sayd i have some spare time ...so i passed by the local antique market.
Found some razors...some in decent shape...but this is what caught my eye:

It was in near NOS condition if not for the few small dirt and superficial rust spots witch cleaned up nicely.

What i wanted to ask is... have any of you guys ever seen one like this...In ~ 3 years searching the web now and then for straights i've never seen one.
The antique dealer sayd it was for shaping of mustache...or something else.

I disinfected it carefully, cleaned and polished it and honed it.
    It shaves nicely.
The blade tail locks up betwen the scales and although it's small you actualy get to use it like a kamisouri.

Any ideas on what it could be and why would be apreciated.

I saw one of those a few years ago in a travel kit with a ridiculous price on it. The kit had the small razor, a little brush with a handle about the size of a thimble, a comb, and break down toothbrush. The interior of the box had indentions and a fabric loop to hold everything in place. All of it was in a leather bound box about the size of a hard shell eye glasses case.

I don't know if it was a custom kit that someone made or something that was sold as a product.

It's definitely cool looking, thanks for sharing it.

Little fellas like that were corn razors. For trimming callouses and such. The tang was to clean under nails and all.
Lots had frowning edges. That one looks like it may make a little shaver. Nice find!

    Thank you guys...
That one looks to be even smaller.
Oh...well now that i found out what it is i can rest ) I was thinking more like it was used for circumcizing...or something
The tail reminds me of oldschool peasant knives....friction folders.
Similar to this the blade had a tail that prevented the blade from colsing on your fingers...Anyway...who knew corn razors were nice shavers)
I am so glad i was wrong...this one time

hey if it shaves and works as a trimmer why not use it that way
the circumcizing thing is all I see if I was to shave naked, as Murphy's Law would state, that is when I would drop my Str8 LOL
