Harmonics can have positive effect. Medicine puts a dosage inside a microbubble sends it through the blood stream using harmonic ultrasound you explode the bubble at the exact location area of interest. Great for hospital medicines bad for straight razors. Excellent vid Geezer!
Purchased one new Boker Dovo and TI all have there place. Phrank said it best "each razor....." So many variables it sometimes feels like astro-physics. From razor production to hair thickness and everything in between. Boker and TI not so hollow when compared to Dovo Bismark. None of them stand up to the vintage blades . Something is now missing from the new production , or I am just getting old and like things that work the first time and stay that way.Your only as good as your last hone job.

Thanked: 580The new production razors just don't do it for me, don't know why, they just look clunky and cheap. Steel technology must have gotten much better over the last 30 - 40 years, so you would think if anything they would be the best you could get. It must come down to the manufacturing process, and the person doing the final grind. When you look at some vintage full hollow blades and see how thin they are, you can only admire the skill of the craftsman responsible. Must have taken some time to get to that level of competence.

Thanked: 3225Yes, I doubt that there are any production bellied extra hollow ground razors being made today or any custom ones for that matter.
