Thanked: 4ARGH! just missed them
I just had to post this........ unfortunately timed event. I was talking to a co-worker and his in-laws had started to get rid of "stuff" they had collected as pickers. A bunch of vintage golf equipment was the talk of lunch so I asked if there happened to be any shaving equipment. Joe checked and they did have a bunch of straights and accessories but someone offered them $20 for everything and they took it. Major BUMMER! It might have been a great find. Hopefully someone from here beat me to them. I needed to share with some like minded souls.

Thanked: 4I've reserved myself to the thought of .....
someone bought all their junk stuff, couldn't have been anything I would have wanted anyway. Who am I kidding! BUT if it was meant to be, it would have happened.

Hey how are you guys finding out about the estate sales? I have only found a couple brokers in my area of California and I can't seem to stay on top of when they hold the sales. Is there a listing I should be lookign at? Or a City Hall area or something?

Thanked: 4I haven't been searching much. There are a couple of stores that pick up the stuff that doesn't sell at the estate sales. Unfortunately they don't have enough space and it's a hit or miss if they will have shave items out. My last visit, they said they had a few SR's and other shave gear but they don't know when it will come out of their storage unit. They have several.......
Good luck in your search!

Haha yeah I need all the luck I can get at those antique stores. The ones in my area seem to find all the estate leftovers but each time I go there had been someone earlier that "took everything they had". I guess I've battling some veteran pickers in my area and did not even know it.
