    Default T.W. Percival Sheffield Wedge

Anyone have any information on this Sheffield maker? This is truly a wedge. 13/16 with a smile. Horn scales and lead wedge. It took a couple trips to the hones to make it shave ready. The blade is heavy. Not quite a stubby but the tang is shorter than later blades. I'll take a guess and say 1840 -1850.

You have a winner!! I like to shave with that blade form! They were produced by most of the Sheffield makers.

I've only seen one other Percival and it was from the mid 1800s, had black horn scales, and had an etch on the blade that said "Fine India Steel".
    Yours looks great.
Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will be along soon.
