Thread: What razor is this?

I found a vintage razor in an antique shop today for $40 bucks, it had a beautiful leather coated hard case. with wing brass clip. Now the razor has Lickson stamped into a double jimped carbon steel 5/8, with the word garanti stamped under that. This razor has plenaty of patina, and barely visible embossing of the 'Lickson' on the side of what seems to be a 1/2 hollow ground. Stamped on the other side of the tang is the number 152 stamped on it. Now I don't know the brand or anything about it, so I thought I'd throw it out there to see if anyone knows anything. The best part is that this razor although really vintage won't take much work to get it shaving, there is no warping, or pitting, black celuloid scales and better still no nicks in seem a niceish bevel. that would take a bit of work on the 1k, but it is a fairly good edge, so I bought it on spec...Any on e know anything about what sounds like a european razor. The intricacy of it's case sets it apart from what I'd call standard card board box. This leather coated well made case with brass clasp is a gook looker. A penny for your thoughts?
