Thread: razor brand info

hey chaps, I need info on this straight razor.

Its branded as Wiener Schaber. At first I though it was a schulze, but if you look at the characters its different than Schulze ones. Maybe a wacker? Never seen a wacker wiener schaber so I don't know what this is. Any help is appreciated.

Can it be a Puma? I saw another puma wiener schaber razor sale with same letters, plus steel seems to be quite hard and tough like pumas.

All of the Puma razors I've seen were branded Puma. It is not at all unusual to find razors in mismatched boxes. Most all of the vintage Solingen razors were quite good, whether from a well known marque or an obscure one.

I think wiener schaber was used by a few makers including Otto Busch. Wiener schaber translates as weiner scraper.

I know that, but the ones made by otto busch, sold with a brand name weltmeister, which is an awesome vintage brand for razors. But this is not a weltmeister. Any thoughts?
