    Default Ern Second Choice

While digging through my razors I found a Ern Second Choice. I don't remember getting it so it must have been sitting here for awhile. Pretty rusty, but the name just didn't sound right for a razor. Something called second choice seems like something that would have flaws or wouldn't pass for first choice. Most companies claimed that their razors were best, but why claim second best. Couldn't find any info on the razor other than someone else has/had one. Anyone have any info on this razor.

Maybe it was like an apprentices piece that was for practice or something
Does seem odd to have a second choice stamped on it unless there was a first choice with it lol

They surely wouldn't have one called that but instead First Choice. Strange!

The top of the crown is cut off and the top of the ER. Maybe that is why it is a second choice. Would kind of make sense instead of scraping the whole thing that they could still sell it at a cheaper cost. Manufacturers do that now.

This is common in the cigar world - small imperfections (such as a mis-aligned mark) that make it less attractive, but still fundamentally the same product.

I recently bought, cleaned up, and shaved with this:

It does indeed shave just as well as any other. Great shaver - especially for less than $15!
