    Default Yankee Cutlery Razor

I was given an old Yankee Cutlery razor and I wondered if anybody knows anything about the quality. It needs a little TLC to bring back to life.

    Welcome to SRP.
Well it's going to take some work to clean up and hone but it should be a real nice razor. Bone scales too. That's a plus with me.
We haven't met but if this is your first razor your close to having a nice one. You can read up on restoring here and do what you can , then send it out and have somebody that knows how to hone get it shaving for you.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

It is a company known for quality blades. That one has no rust on the edge and no significant wear. You can clean it up easily enough with steel wool and mothers polish. Send it out to be honed and you will be shaving in style.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Mark you can't go wrong with anyone in the classified section. I think we all have a few favorites... I personally have used cuddarunner, Gssixgun and voidmonster who have all did excellent work for me.
