Default Straight Collection reaching double digits

TAOS Thiers-Issard 6/8" with Bocote scales should be sitting in my PO Box when I arrive home Thursday night. Super excited, 2nd TI and 1st ebay purchase. Gawd this is an addictive hobby.
Good thing is, this hobby makes the wife happy. Loves the shaves, razors are so much cheaper than guns or watches and antiquing is kinda like shopping. Win, Win, Win!

    Oh, just you wait.
Once you get the taste for custom razors you can kiss the whole cheaper argument down the drain.
    Trust me, I know

Oh, and congrats on the new shaver!
Let us know how you find it!

I agree on your points my wife loves and supports my sr hobby/addiction. We both are always on the lookout now when we go out antiqing now. I see many more razors in my future! It's a bonus when it was my wife that introduced me to a SR and is always egging me on to purchase pretty vintage blades.

    Birnando,
I have pretty cheap taste so far. Thiers-Issard Razor is a splurge purchase. Only thing on my hot list is a vintage U.S.M.C. Clauss razor. It appeals to me because: I'm a Marine and they were made in Fremont Ohio where I once lived.
I could see the razor habit overtaking the watches. But if it overtakes the guns, that would be a truly impressive collection.

you would be surprised how easily they seem to breed when kept together in captivity

Double digits is a reasonable start... be careful tho, it can turn into a slippery slope quite fast

Also try to keep them separated by nationalities or types... otherwise you end up with anomalies such as this:

Send me your mailing address in a PM and I will fullfill that hot list
I have one, but you, as a marine and a local, would be much better served with it.
No charge, naturally, it would be my pleasure!
