    Default Safety Razor Leather Sheath

Hi everyone! This is my first post here, so sorry if this is the wrong spot to ask this.

I have been using a safety razor for the last 5 years and will never go back to anything modern! One thing that was bugging me was the lack of razor protection for my shaver when I travel. Looking around I didn't find anything I liked or found pouches that were way over priced, so I made my own leather sheath (I create leather goods as a hobby).

So here is a photo of my first sheath. The leather is natural 5/6oz thickness, all hand stitched with linen thread and oiled with virgin olive oil and finished with bees wax.

What do you guys think? The sheath is molded to the radius of the razor so it snaps into place and will no fall off. I used it on a couple of trips recently and it's been working great for me so far.

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to improve on the design? Being a first one, I wasn't paying attention to much detail, but next one I make would be a lot cleaner. I will probably stamp some initials on it as well.

Would this be something that anyone would be interested in purchasing to protect their blade during travel? Thoughs? If so, how much would one be willing to pay for a sheath like this?

    Comments highly appreciated!

Well done, I really like how you molded the open side as well.
The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.

    Thanks!

The leather was molded after stitching so it is a nice fit. My next one will be cleaner looking thought
