Thread: Autostrop

Finally got around to getting pics of my autostrop since I got blades for it. May be hard to tell in the pictures but when closed up for shaving the blade does not sit very straight in the holder and sits a little proud of the comb. One corner of the blade actually protrudes beyond the guard. Other than that, it gives a really close shave, just have to watch and make sure that one corner of the blade does not dig in. If I decide to use this razor on a regular basis I will need to either grind off the tabs that hold the blade in place, or find a small file to open up the holes in the blade to allow for a little adjustment of blade position. Most likely will just give it one more good cleaning and display it with the rest of my grandfather's razors.
