Default Now contender for top shaver...Burrell Top Flight

I finally got around to putting this on the stones, and WOW! What a great razor... as good or better than my C-Mon Blackie (also from Ellicotville, NY). Now enjoy some razor porn

Yes, Burrell is a good brand and I found the couple I have honed and shaved to be in the top ranks...for my face!

I absolutely love my top flight.!.!

It took me a while to locate one in good shape, and then when I got it, restored it to almost new. After honing, which went incredibly easy, it shaved fantastic!! One of the best shavers in my collection.

Glad you got yours up and running!! It's a good razor.

I even got an original Army issue box to go with mine, from another fine member here on this site!!!

    Good luck!

Man, that Army box is cool. It also brings the Clauss USMC to mind. I've been trying to find one for my Scout/Sniper cousin but they go for outlandish amounts on eBay.

I think I'm going to ask a mod to delete this thread, no one must know of the incredible quality of Top Flight razors. Wonderful steel, the edge can be honed wicked.

Too late. I just found one on the bay and took a chance on it and made the seller an offer. The pictures were not great but from my vantage it looks like it will clean up nice.

    Default Top Flight

A barber shop customer was so kind to give me this razor today. After reading this thread, I can't wait to hone it up! The blade has little to no hone wear and a few minor blemishes (away from the edge). Name: image.jpg
