    Default Help with a Trusteel

I love this razor and since getting it, this is my daily shaver. Can anyone tell me what the scales are made out of?

By looks, I'm pretty sure they're celluloid. Much like DublDuck's they can develop cell rot. Usually starting with the darker spots. Keep an eye on the blade for rust or discoloration, especially around the dark areas. Not saying it will happen, but all of us with celluloid scales watch and worry.
Here's a forum search link for cell rot so you can read up on it.

    Nice razor.

And, welcome to the forum!! Hope you find it helpful and enjoyable.

    Best Regards,

I'm with SirStropalot, celluloid. Keep it away from the rest of the herd if you have any others.

I know another guy with those scales, possibly the same old razor judging by the picture. They are definitely celluloid.
