Default What' the difference between Double Duck's

From what I've read, Double Duck razors are worth pursuing so I'm curious...
What' the difference?? They all have different names - Satinedge, Wonderedge, Goldenedge etc.
Does this just refer to the aesthetics or are there different grades of quality in the razors themselves? Kinda makes me think of the analogy : Chevy = BelAir - Impala - Caprice.

To be honest with you I'm not sure lol. I just got one and honed it. Shaves like a dream though. I got the Dubl Duck Special No. 1. I'm looking for more info on them right now. I hope we both can get some answers I would love to know more about these wonderful razors!

As far as I know the only one that was 'different', other than in 'gingerbread' was the Wonderedge. It was tempered differently to achieve a harder steel IIRC. I can't recall whether it was a nitrogen or lead bath, or what. Anyway, I don't even know that it is true, but that was the word on the street. The only one I ever had was more difficult to hone that other ducks I've had.

Other than that it is the different scales, some blades etched, some not. Bang for the buck I think the dubl duck Special No 1
is as good as any Goldedge, or Wonderedge for that matter. Just IMHO.
    rolodave and RezDog like this.

Thanks for the info! I think I'm going vintage from now on after that shave lol. I just can't get over how well it does. I did try a different way of honing this one. Not sure if that's what made the difference or not. It was a very smooth shave through 2 days of very coarse beard. I can't wait till tomorrow to shave again lol.
