    Default Vintage Straight Razors

I would like to get a vintage straight razor (specifically one from the Shumate Razor Co) can anyone recommend a reputable place to find one that is in good - great shape and for a reasonable price? I was looking at a few sites but they had a big price difference and I was not sure what I was looking at.

Shiny is good :<0) You should learn what hone wear looks like and some models will be a little more because they are more rare. Blade width is another factor that will increase the price. Then you have the everybody wants one factor. Sometimes you can find one cheap, other times everybody is fighting for the same thing. In short your going to have to learn some and try to see the differences yourself. It's your opinion that matters the most, especially when it comes to price. They are fine razors and you should get one that appeals to your eye as well as be in good condition.

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
