    They are Sterling Silver. I put it together, I will admit. Many makers were shoehorned into silver and some makers made their own sterling scales. This blade was but 11/16, yet fit those scales perfectly. Gone to a buddy down under! ..........

    I just found 6" x 1" 14 gauge sterling sheet on the bay for $95.99 each. That's pretty expensive but for someone wanting to make some really nice scales, 14 gauge (.083") would be thick enough.

    Those are great razors. I re-scaled one a while back in old blonde horn.
