Thanked: 3Anyone have any info on the AOS rebranded TI razor?
I just bought this blade and I wanted to find out more info on it. When I initially bought it, I didn't know it was a re-branded item. Now that I found this forum and know more about the different brands out there, I have more questions.
Does anyone know what the TI original model or equivalent of this blade is and its specs? Like is it high carbon and what rockwell rating the steal is?

Thanked: 3So I'm guessing its something equivalent to a Spartacus?
spartacus black plastic 5/8
If thats the case than this steal should be the c135 model. Rockwell rated at 62? Can anyone confirm if this is the same blade that The Art of Shaving sells?
Also, how does this blade compare to others on the market right now in terms of quality?

I love my TI from classic edge. It holds the edge longer than some others I own. Very nice shaver. Was yours honed before you purchased? I do not know that Art of Shaving Razors are shave ready.

Thanked: 13245They sell the entry level TI,,, I always compared it to the 1937 or Le Dandy
They are very good shavers when honed correctly..
TI makes a quality product, their factory honing is a bit underwhelming but most others are too ....

AOS says all of their TI razors are C135 steel. Unless it is an older model it should be the new steel. I have a La Legende and a AOS branded TI, they are equally good shavers. I cant tell any difference other than the blade shape and markings.

Gentlemen,
Thiers-Issard, Dovo and other brands of straight razors sold at The Art of Shaving will always carry the chain's logo on the blade. They are not so much re-branded; rather, made for The Art of Shaving. The original brand name, however, will always be on the shank.
