Thread: New Arrival....My First Fili

As the title states, my first Fili arrived today. She is a NOS Sub Cero 13. This baby came with all original packaging and paper/plastic. Honed to quite a fine edge as well! I will give this fine young lady a spin tomorrow...but for now a couple of pictures....

Thank you for sharing it. I don't own a Filly, but maybe someday I will run across a nice NOS.

It really is a beautiful blade. I don't happen to think too much of the scales (I don't know too many Fili fans that do) but one can tell close up where all of the work went for sure.

For the last 4 years I've been here, I've heard nothing but good about them.

Some of the best vintage razors out there IMO - I love the 13's. The scales look great compared to some of the ones I have - weird gold-brown crap - it's the blade that counts!

Really nice blade. She looks like a wide blade as well.....is that a 6/8 or bigger?

13/16 = 6.5/8 roughly. not HUGE but pretty nice size for sure.

Nice, if it's anything like my Fili from Noah, that edge will be like butta...(and last a long, long time)

I just shaved with it and I can say that edge is probably the best I have had on a razor I have received from a vendor yet. She was a dream to shave with and I took it easy with just 2 passes WTG to feel her out...ended up with a CCS just from that! Looks like this one will BBS in just two passes for me if I were to guess (WTG/XTG)!

Back around Christmas I had a similar 13 on it's way to me as part of a trade. My half of the trade made it to it's destination but the Fili never made it to me. Every week or so I check the USPS website tracking and it still says.. Estimated Arrival Date 12/18/2014. I've written it off.
