That hone is in good shape, I would buy it. Especially if under 20$
Razors are all good for the money as well. All look usable or fixable.

Thanked: 24I like the look of that hone. Are you going to have to lap it? Can't really see the condition well enough.

The Tufpugs were also sold by Bresnick under his Duble Duck brand.

Visiting old haunts!
I'm resurrecting one of my old threads, as it relates to what I want to post about.
SWMBO and I paid another visit to this antique shop, where I had come across the razors mentioned above. I had only bought two of the above grouping. My wife heard from her "bestie" that this antique shop had got in some more straights, so off we went!
Disclaimer: After conferring with my wife, and asking if there was wiggle room on the price, I passed on the set. More on that after the pics!
A transitionary "Tally-Ho" razor. Can anyone give me a date-range?
They came in this rather rough, but GENIUS handmade box!
I feel like there is a piece missing from the rectangular notch in the middle of the top.
In the corner of this pic, you see why I don't think the W&B has any life left in it.
The matching mirror that was sitting on top of the set.
So the W&B is spent, IMO. The Bingham has problems with the scales. I loved the set, as a whole, however. When I asked about the price, the shopkeeper said the booth owner was there presently and sent someone more spry to ask about it. They were willing to throw in the mirror if I bought the razor set, which is a shade better than the 10% discount the shopkeeper is authorized to give. But $40 is higher than I care to spend on myself & my hobbies in one shot. I rarely even spend $30-$60 on even tools & such.
I don't know, though... that is a really nifty set! I made sure to take pics of the box, so I could replicate it on my own later... if I so choose. Maybe I will pop in again after a week or two, and see if they can come down a little more on the price.Decades away from full-beard growing abilities.

I have seen worse turned into treasure.
I have been going into a similar shop in the town where I live and he has had the same three straights in there since last year. They are not great which is why they are not in my house. I would say go back after a few weeks and see if there is more movement on the price. It is always a gamble when you do that and sometimes you win, sometimes not so much.
Unless you're me, then you never winFact: Opinions are not the same as facts... Well, that's my opinion anyway

Thanked: 433Mention that you plan on using them for shaving and point out the flaws. I can usually get a discount especially if they have been there for awhile
