Feral Razors (pic heavy)
"After the holiday hunting season, I was doubtful I would spot any of the critters in the wild. But low & behold, there they were, in their natural habitat: the Antique Mall!"
The skinny: I was looking for a SR that had "seen better days". About the 4th or 5th antique shop I hit that day finally had some straights. And a whole box, at that! Asking price of $14/ea. I will try and post some pics, and what little I know from my month or so of lurking with A.D.D. hyperfocus.
Please chime in.
A few of the fellas.
American steel?
"Golden Lady"
Franken-razor with Golden Lady behind it.
Travel hone?

Yea, it was 3am for me as well. Hence why I forgot to mention that I didn't buy the lot. Just the franken-razor Tufpug ERN in the Heinkels box, in order to replace the somewhat shoty replacement scales that are currently on my ERN (also from the same seller in that antique mall). The lady runnin the place brought it down to $10 since I was a young person interested in old things rather than another dealer tryin to flip for profit. Plus I showed her the SRP wiki page on Heinkels when she couldn't find the proper book in her reference materials. It just feels right to try to make it whole again.
Just about all the others, especially the travel hone/strop, I am very curious about, but lack the knowledge or sources to figure it out myself. Couldn't dig up everything I was looking for in the library wiki here.Decades away from full-beard growing abilities.

Thanked: 4830That looks like a good haul. That barbers hone happens to be one of the very good ones as well. You will be able to use it for touch ups and finishing.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

That hone is in good shape, I would buy it. Especially if under 20$
Razors are all good for the money as well. All look usable or fixable.
