Info on these razors please?
C.V.HELJESTRAND No24, ESKILSTUNA, SWEDEN
STRAIGHT RAZOR HEARTRING, EICHER&SOHNE, SOLINGEN

Both are good brands. Heartring seems to be in better condition.

A little metal polish and they are seem ready to be honed

Can I just send it to be honed, disinfect and use? I don't really want to mess around with polish unless I have to.

It just takes a couple of minutes and makes a huge difference. You will probably want to clean old dirt from in-between the scales aswell.
Too bad the tip of one of the scale is broken, but it looks like it will holdbigeasy1 likes this.

Clean them & hone them,,,,,the blades look nice , but the scales are filthy,,,,,

I can't tell but it looks like the heel of the heartring looks like minor damage as well at the point??? ANyway we'll see when it's delivered I guess.

The razors came in today. They are 4/8s. Far too small for me. Lesson learnt I guess, no discription for a reason.
Anyone in UK who is a beginner is welcome to take them, one or both for free, I'll pay for postage too. They are not shave ready and a bit dirty. If they were 5/8s I would have kept them. Though I'm thinking 5/8s is a bit small for me too. I only ask these are not sold for profit, if you decide to take them and do not like it you pass on to another beginner to try.
