My first thought is Frederick Reynolds, but I don't think I've ever seen one stamped like that.

Thanked: 4827I have several Fredrick Reynolds and none have a stamp like that. I am most curious though. Perhaps someone with research skills and resources will be along.

It's a shame that I couldn't turn up any info on this razor. It looks to be a great shaver either way, it's got a really nice hollow grind.

Frederick Reynolds are some very fine, high quality razors, some of the best of the Sheffield razors. Most are a pain to hone but once they are honed they hold that edge for a long time. I had one a while back that was easy to hone but in the process of thinning they herd it was sold.
There is very little info out there on FR razors but the most info I found is at http://www.strazors.com/ where there are several examples of FR razors. Hope this helps."If You Knew Half of What I Forgot You Would Be An Idiot" - by DoughBoy68

Thanked: 4827If it is in fact a Frederick Reynolds I would expect it to predate his well known mark with the sideways FR beside his corporate mark. It does have an older style tail but not a stub tail.

Thanks for the dating. I'm not very familiar with Fredrick Reynolds.
