I picked up the 6/8 Wostenholm frame back from the classifieds:

I've already shaved with it twice and am really tickled with it.

It's a Washington Works IXL in good shape with horn scales. Labeled "Sheffield" only so it's pre 1891 at the least.

I've done some basic research and one article suggested it might be somewhere between 1830 and 1870. The article said that they, the framebacks from Wostenholm, were most popular around 1850. I've also seen reprints of ads from 1910 showing a different type of frame back.

Anyway, looking for some solid information on age.

Thanks, love this place.
