First of all, apologies for hijacking the thread!

I appreciate that this a razor and not a small knife, but is this the 'compass and square' mark referred to, and does that mean that this razor was made by Allen & Son? I was planning to put this question in a separate thread at some point, but seeing as it was mentioned here, I thought I'd ask the question.
