Thanked: 171Nice, just stop shaving when the train is leaving or entering a station.
Shaving while the train is crossing switch tracks can cause serious cuts. :-)

Interesting Le Grelots. How do they shave?
I was just reading a short article about about an Orient Express museum exhibit last weekend. Classy furnishings.

Great finds jaws. I wonder if back in the day they were part of a passenger arrival package?

I am a professional and have been collecting razor for years since 2001....
Rasoir-Sabre Collection
I make myself scales and the printing on the razor. I wanted this theme cause I really love history and this train. The originaly tittle for this razor would have been "The Orient Express" but the trademark belongs to the national french railway compagny "SNCF" so I decided to put "Train Express"insted.
For the shave...
This razor is a Le Grelot Hospital from the 70's. I got this blades (aprox 60) from Thiers, an ex-worker of Hospital sold them to me.
A.Peter 7 day set, the same blades. The razors where made by Pierre Hospital (Le Grelot). Museum of Thiers, France.
The blade is a half hollow ground razor and a bit heavy. It gives great shaves among the best I could have till now.
The particular steel and perfect ground of the blade gives a nice sound when shaving...
The blade is very good balanced...
I apreciate french half hollow ground blade more than the german one.
Sure that Le Grelot razors are for me among the best shavers besides old Henkells, Puma, Dorko...

I have two Le Grelot frame backs, one is in my rotation which is a joy to use, and this one waiting to be cleaned up and honed:
