Thanked: 44Saitu SK1
Hi Fellas,
I have just received this razor. I originally bought it for its freak value, but now I've shaved with it I have to say the design is about more than just looks. I had my closest ever shave with this thing. I put it down to the radical curve focussing the blade on one area and also making it easy to get into all the nooks and crannies. I'm interested to hear if others have had the same sort of experience with these blades.

Thanked: 2591I have one of those and it shaves great. I do not think it was made to look cool at expense of functionality.

I recently acquired one too. It makes for a very satisfying shave indeed. I enjoyed the challenge for sure.

Nice razor! Some interesting info I picked up from a Japanese seller about R. Saito.
Saito was a big-time hairdresser in Japan in the 50's/60's. He ran a school with many campuses for hairdressers and barbers.
Since his name was synonymous with the Japanese fashion world, his designs were highly prized as was his name.
Razors such as this were made by Kikuboshi, Diamond Hayashi, and other makers.
He designed a razor specifically for barber schools which held a monopoly for the purpose for a long time. It was designed to be the easiest razor to use. I have one and can certainly testify to it's ease of use. It is like a sports car compared to most.
Here is the Rosette 80. His influence can be easily seen!"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

They have regular shaped razors and those are very nice shavers as well.
