Thanked: 91" 1/16 Rodgers
This puppy arrived today. It's very wedgy and currently the biggest razor I own.
I like the forms - curvy, flowing & smiling
Now I need to make up my mind on its new scales
Cheers

Thanked: 346Those big sheffields look great in giraffe bone scales.
And I suspect they'd look good in oryx scales as well.

Thanked: 9True, true
However, I have another beautiful 6/8 JR in pink ivory and am thinking of getting the same for this one.
On the other hand, I have no olivewood and I really love it...
Hard to decide
Cheers

Hey Ivo if you want I'll send you some meranti wood for free.
Wayne D recently posted pictures of a restoration he did with the wood I sent him.
Let me know if you like it & want some.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Thanked: 9Hi Bruno
This is a very kind offer and I really appreciate it!
However, I really lean towards pink ivory or olivewood (have liked olivewood for a while now - having seen scales from Mastro, Gary, Joe).
The mere heft of the razor has me worried a bit - how to balance it - so I am now also entertaining thoughts about abalone or MOP...
Thanks again!

Great score Ivo I also like olivewood. If I were you, I'd consider metal liners to add some heft to the scales.
