Revisor are shut for Easter- think they're back after the 12th. I have a 6-0037 which is similar to the op's choices. Deal direct as has been said. Terrific service. Best Razor I own.

The Dovo Bismarck can scratch a soft strop like the Kanayama because of the worked spine being quite sharp. About the only negative I can think of.

Personally, I avoid anything with gold wash these days. The gold will come off if you look at it too long. For a Sunday Shaver it's fine but not an everyday working piece. I haven't used either so I can comment about them but from what I have heard on the forum they are both quality pieces. Lately folks have been praising the new Bokers.

I've been toying around with the purchase of two razors.

1st BOKER ELITE in either form, though relatively new to the market, is a throwback to the WB Elite. Many scale variations, but the photo is for representation.

2nd is the DOVO 2 BISMARCK

Though it can be had in different trim levels the most basic is trimmed in gold appointments adding to it's curb appeal. The design is suppose to be a continuing lineage if the BISMARCK line, but the 2 took on a change reminiscent of the WB ELITE (that's how it appears anyway).

I know the DOVO brand has a large following, and probibaly a better investment value, but I've had a bad taste with2 DOVO models. I don't want this to dissuade me, as these may be isolated issues. And that I have never owned a BOKER, which raises my want for one.

So personal experience with the two is what I'm looking for. Preferably someone that owns or has owned both razors. What are the pros & con's, construction quality of the blade, shave feel.
There is only a few $ separating the two choices, so I want the "best bang for my buck".

    So, here we go..... POST.
No experience with the Bismarck but I do have the Boker Elite with carbon scales and that is one 6/8 razor with a great balance and feel. The shoulderless blades I prefer best. I think either would make you a very nice str8 for sure.

I'm not 100% sure on this, so some one please chime in (remember,"NO bashing", just tasteful criticism) the older TI's are preferred, but the newer steel is prone to micro cracking? Or is this only true on a certain range of TI's?
