Thanked: 46How many razors have we saved
I was sitting here thinking about how many razors have been saved by us. I know I have restored five I think and I know there has been several that do this for more than a hobby. So it just makes me wonder.

Countless razors have been saved or are now being taken care of by all the fine gentlemen here!

Another thing to consider is how many have been destroyed. An appalling figure, should it be known.

Thanked: 4826I too have had a few casualties but the saves to death ratio is quite high. Some of them were not saved quite as much as they had a little more life breathed into them and some were near disaster and pulled back. I like to think that I help the razor population flourish.

One.......... Two............ Many ! ..................

i have only saved 26. 14 I have in rotation, 12 I have given away or sold, and at the moment only have three projects. In the process I have purchased two that were too far gone, sold two I wish I kept, and completely destroyed 1.

Something else to ponder is that there is a much larger community of straight razor users/restorers that are not members here. We only represent a portion of what's truly out there. I have run into many people that use a straight, hone, and restore that are not on any forums. Blasphemy I know but when you figure this, it doubles or triples (or more) the number originally pondered.
What a curse be a dull razor; what a prideful comfort a sharp one
