Default Wade & Butcher's Holy Grail

Just had to show this one off. I waited a long time for a nice one to come along and it arrived today. It will not take much to clean this one up. The blade is 9/8. The faces are a satin finish with the grind lines visible. The spine and tang are polished bright. No one has monkeyed with this razor. There is little hone wear and it should take a nice thin even bevel. The scales are horn with a lead wedge and no sign of any delamination or bug bites. Wonderful beehive brass collars. This will be the largest blade in my collection. I have an 8/8+ but not a true 9/8.

    Congratulations!
Finding a Wade & Butcher in that kind of shape is almost impossible.
That is absolutely beautiful. Nothing like a big bladed Wade.
    Enjoy!!

Beautiful blade, I shaved with that razor's twin not six hours ago before heading out to a meeting.

Nothing like a huge chunk of Sheffield steel to peel a couple of layers of whiskers and skin off the face.

The tang stamps looks in great condition, congratulations on a great find!

    Congratulations on a fantastic shaver!
May your lather be moist and slick, the sweep of your razor sure, and your edge always keen!
