Thanked: 522A. Witte "Solace" Razor
_____________________________________________
I recently dug this well worn but great shaving gem out of my pile. I restored it a long time ago but failed to hone it.
Witte was in business 1880 to 1930. I post his because it took an unusually exceptional edge and I literally could not feel it shaving my face. Should have honed it up sooner.
Anyone else shaving with A. Witte blades?JERRY
OOOPS! Pass the styptic please.

Thanked: 315Not familiar with them, but their seem to be an awful lot of old SR makers out there. Nice looking razor though. If you can't feel that one shaving, then I REALLY need to get mine professionally honed.

Thanked: 4828I have the same Solace logo on an SR Droescher razor and A. Witte on another. Both are pretty nice razors, SRD razors always are, and you are right the Witte is very much a great shaver.
