I wonder if any of my Sheffield razors are counterfeit as it seems to have been problem enough for Barber to put out advertisements warning against counterfeits.

Thanked: 270On a related note I asked a co-worker a few years ago who was a native of Germany where Solingen was and he didn't know. I was able to find a Solingen on a map. I was left wondering if this was where the razors were made or if the word "soligen" meant something other than a location in the manufacture of razors. The English article is pretty clear in stating that Sheffield is where the razors were made.
