Thanked: 0Wapie - Wapi...err Polish Razors
After reading some good reviews on these I bought one on ebay yesterday but am very green in the honing dept.
If you have honed one can you pass on your experience? Thanks all.

I've honed up two so far and will bee doing another in a few minutes. As a mter of fact I'll be using one for a honing video for a belgian coticule website that asked me. They hone up VERY easy. Just some passes with thick slurry on the coticule followed by passes on the coticule with thin slurry and little pressure and they're done (I strop 60 linen and 60 leather after that though).
You'll ave a fairly easy time on them I think. If you use a Norton just do the pyramid thing (I don't get those but many people get great result off them) and you should be fine.

I was using mine just to work the hone in after a couple of lappings. After that it took me about 5-10min to get it shave ready.

Thanked: 1I've used the Norton and it does hone up real easily. This is the first blade I've ever taken from NOS to shave ready and I'm a real novice.

In my experience they are very easy to hone up, I've done 4 or 5 so far and all have been easy. I have 2 more sitting here by the PC to be done when I get round to it!
