Thanked: 49T-I "tortoise" scales.
I recently saw what claimed to be T-I faux tortoise shell replacement handles on Amazon. They looked pretty sexy in the pics. Assuming they are genuine, do any of you guys know it they would be made out of some modern celluloid material or perhaps acrylic?

I would guess they are modern type plastic.

Thanked: 49Masecraft typically has good stuff actors the board. I was just wondering about this "premade" scales because you do see a lot of faux tortoise in "new" celluloid and I don't know if that would present the same issues as the old style stuff. That Masecraft stuff is polyester like some of the faux MOP you see, whereas their other faux shell stuff like the abalone or pau, which is also very good looking, is a hybrid mixture of acrylic and actual shell power or pieces. That might be some cool stuff to try. They are out of the poly Tortuga West version right now.
